Honestly, I’m not surprised. Given everything that came out, it came down to “beyond reasonable doubt” – and the prosecution failed on that ground. Sure, it’s a technicality, but that’s on the prosecution. Not the system. If this was a civil case, then it’s “the balance of probabilities” and she probably would have been found guilty, but it’s criminal and the higher standard applies.
