For our 25th wedding anniversary, I decided to surprise my wife with a two week trip to Europe. She has always wanted to go and after raising our four rowdy boys, I feel like she more than deserves it. We will be going to Italy and France because I let my wife choose her two top choices. I would really like to visit Ireland or Scotland one day, but I guess we will save those for another trip. Our oldest son is married and out on his own.
Our second two sons are in college. Our fourth son is spending his summer being a camp counselor in another state, so we won’t have to worry about our kids while we are gone. I had thought about having the electricity turned off while we are gone, but we were able to shop for energy and found that we could get fixed-rate energy so we would not have a surprise bill when we got home. I am really looking forward to our trip. We had to cut our honeymoon short 25 years ago because my wife had a death in her family, so this will be like a real honeymoon to us.
