Nope, I think what Ebert said was worth saying. This isn’t just a random tragedy – this was the result of dangerous, stupid behavior. Based on what we know (and of course, the available information could change – and on his blog, Ebert was careful to acknowledge that), Dunn acted recklessly and dangerously, and that recklessness resulted in both his death and the death of a friend. If others had been on the road when he lost control, it could have been much worse. I don’t see anything wrong with calling attention to that.
