PETA: Why Eat Turkey If You Would Not Eat Your Dog?

Here is the thing: dogs are human companions that are often anthropomorphised and treated just like humans. Turkeys are not. If you were to make a turkey into a companion animal that lived in the exact same manner as your faithful dog does, then no, you should not eat that turkey. We, as Americans, also have certain foods which are acceptable to eat (turkey, chicken, pork) and unacceptable (cats, dogs, guinea pigs), so comparing dogs to turkeys isn’t useful.
